Cats
Cats are independent, however... Cats will receive love, petting, brushing fur, and playing if they like it/want it. The owner must have disposal bags, scoop, and extra litter onsite.
Dogs
Dog walks are 30 minutes long, include potty breaks, and cleanup. Owner will provide pet scooping baggies, harness, and leash. Dogs will receive love, petting, brushing fur, and playing. Dogs should know basic commands such as, "Sit", "Stay", "Heel", "Down/Off", etc.
Bearded Dragons
Bearded Dragons will receive love, petting if they like it, fresh water, and food treats as allowed by the owners.
Birds - Parrots, Parakeets, etc.
Birds' wings must be clipped if the owner wants sitter to take out of cage and hold. Birds will receive love, conversation, and petting if they like it/want it.
All Birds must know regular bird commands such as, "Step-up", etc.
Information about Pet Care Visits
An in-house pre-visit with the animal(s) is required to allow them to meet the sitter. This is a complimentary 30-minute visit.
The sitter has the right to refuse service if the pet is too afraid or tries to bite the sitter at this pre-visit appointment.
All pets must have up-to-date vaccinations if required.
All pets must have basic training and know basic commands for their breed type.
The owner must provide all food, water, and treats, and must have them available for the pet sitter.
Emergency Vet Service phone numbers must be available as well as access to the owner to give payment information to clinic/pet hospital for emergency services rendered. Pelican Patrol Pet Care does not pay for emergency services.
There will be a $10.00 fee added for each additional (same type) animal/pet on premises getting service.
Pet Sitter will provide the schedule that is available for each date/time requested.
Multiple time slots are requested in case of emergencies.
Flexibility is appreciated.
Pelican Patrol Pet Care will do our best to accommodate any schedules for feeding and medications the pets need.
Cancellations
Overnight Cancellations – Overnight care cancellations require 48-hour notice and a 30% booking fee due upon receipt of cancellation notice. Less than 48 hours’ notice is 100% booking fee.
Drop-in Cancellations – Drop-in care cancellations require 48-hour notice and a 30% booking fee due upon receipt of cancellation notice. Less than 48 hours’ notice is 100% booking fee.
Pelican Patrol Pet Care sitters are bonded and insured.
